4th – 5th February – Vancouver, BC, Canada

A fairly unexciting last couple of days in Vancouver. It mainly consisted of packing everything up, sending home what didn’t fit and also sorting out a bag of cold weather gear to stay in Vancouver for when Dan returns in March. We managed to fit it all in and should be able to make it back to Australia with no excess luggage charges.

We said goodbye to Janine and headed to the airport for our flight which was leaving at 11.50pm. We are flying to Jamaica via Toronto who have just issued warnings for their airport that there are imminent snowstorms and many flights will be cancelled or diverted. We kept checking the status of our flight and all looked good. At the airport, we got a last Vancouver Starbucks in and the flight left on time.
Bye Vancouver.

20th November – Seattle, WA, USA

A trip to the post office with the highlight of USGS Postal Service having Star Wars stamps! We bought a fantastic world map yesterday and found out that it was too long to send via post. For $110 we could have couriered it… but we didn’t.
We found the original Starbucks shop, the one that started the franchise, 13,500 shops ago!
An arty shot too!
We have found some interesting advertisements and products.

This beer ad was a good one.
Did you know you can buy a home enema kit? And this one was the biggest joke. Diet Cola with vitamins and minerals!! No joke.
