We’ve been to Playa before and today we sorted out our flight changes, next tour, accommodation and additional flights. We started updating our blog that is so behind and at the end of the day with lots of to and froing with Jennifer in Vancouver, our great travel agent , we got our next leg booked and paid for. We can relax now.
We put our underwater photo’s in for developing from Belize which turned out OK and went searching for a camera to replace our one that died a few weeks back.
The rest of the group went to Tulum, Mayan ruins by the beach to the south and Ania from England did a cenote dive and the pictures she had were amazing. This inspired us to have one more cenote day tomorrow.

After dinner we headed down to the Blue Parrot, a funky bar on the beach. On this night, women got free cocktails, so we indulged a little. With the waves crashing behind us and the candles glowing in the wind it was a nice spot. Around 11.30pm, the music cranked up and a group of fire dancers came out and entertained us with their fire twirling for about 30 minutes. They could spin their fire sticks and hoops so quickly we were amazed no one set their hair on fire.
Later that night, Santa paid us both an early visit in the form of a new flash Olympus camera making us both very happy.
